Reading Response #1
Summary - The world ended via zombies and now everyone lives in little walled in towns, and the rest of the world is labelled the rot and ruin.
Quote - "Tom and Benny never talked about zombies. They had every reason to, but never did."
^ I chose that because it was interesting that they lived in a world ruled by zombies and never talked about zombies.
Picture - Is from a movie called The Road. Has a similar setting and it could very well be Tom and Benny in the picture.

My trip to Europe
October 15th
The cheapest plane tickets were from Springfield To Dallas (Texas) then to London. The first flight was a little over an hour, the second was about 9 1/2 hours. In Dallas (or ateast the airport) a lot of people really do wear cowboy hats O.o ... On the flight there were little screens on the back of every seat were you could watch tv, listen to radio, or play games (i brought a laptop though, which had my own tv). The plane provided a blanket, pillow, and earphones for every person, they also served dinner and breakfast. After the flight there were still a few very stressful hours going through the subways. The hostel told us we wouldn't be able to check in for a few hours so we the Tate modern museum and wandered around London for a few hours. We Went to a Labanese restaurant later that day. The hostel is really small; two beds and a sink, we don't have our own restroom.
October 16th
After breakfast at the hostel we went to the Tower of London. It was an awesome, huge castle. .... After that we went to a Starbucks where I get my first chance to sit down and write on this blog. We later went to a Chinese restaurant in China Town, and then went to go see a play (Les Miserables).
October 17th
First we went to the British museum, which was very impressive. Then my mom wanted to visit her old college, and they didn't let her (duh >.> ). We visited the gift shop / old house of Sherlock Holmes. Later in the day we went to a huge street market called Camden Market. It was like a spider web of stalls bigger than the Springfield Mall. After that we did actually go to a mall (of sorts) that was really just one business that was huge and sold everything you can think of called Harrods. Later on we went to a sushi restruant and got on our overnight train to Edinburgh.

October 18th
First day in Edinburgh. We checked into our hotel and went to Edinburgh Castle, which was ontop of a huge rockface right in the middle of the city, it was breath taking. Then we explored some shops, and later went on a hike up a nearby mountain called Arthur's Seat, which was again, breath taking. Then we got some food at an Italian place and went back to the hotel.
October 19th
Early in the morning we had to go catch a tour bus which took us to various spots in Scotland inbetween Edinburgh and Inverness. Driving through the highlands was amazing, all the mountains were steep, tall, and rocky; all the grass was long and colorful. We stopped at a shore on Loch Ness and walked around on the beach. In Inverness we explored for a minute, then went to and Indian restruant, then to our hotel.
October 20th
We got up early to get back on the tour bus back to Edinburgh, taking a different route through the Highlands, and periodically getting out to walk around. When back in Edinburgh we got some food and then took a bus to London (would have taken the sleeper train again but mom messed up her scheduling). That was a miserable 9 hours... No sleep that night.
October 21st
When we got to London it was early morning, and we immedialy had to go get on another train (that went under the ocean) to Paris. When we got to paris we checked into out hotel, ate some food, then went to Notre Dame. Spent the rest of the day wandering about and went back to our hotel.
October 22nd
Today, i rested. then got some food. then sleep. =/
October 23rd
went to a very fancy restraunt that was great all except the raw oysters... I love sea food, espeacaly shell fish, these were really salty and just "bleh"! then we tried to go to a museum that ended up being closed, then we went to Victor Hugo's house/museum. i waited out side while mother documented the entire place with her camera. we eventually got on our overnight train to Rome.
October 24th
we got to rome and had a bit of trouble finding our hostel. when we did we settled in then went to the collosuem. we got some food, walked around for awhile, got some ice cream, went home.
October 25th
October 26th
Today we got on a train to Naples. Then from Naples we we got on a bullet train to Sorronto, stopping at Mt. Vesuvius and Pompeii along the way. From Sorronto we got on a bus to Amalfi. We checked into our hotel, and got some food.
October 27th
Today we were supposed to kayak on Amalfi's shore, but it was "rain stormy" all day, so we took some pictures then went through the long travel process back to Rome (bus, bullet train, train). Then some food and a taxi to the airport hotel.
October 28th
We woke up, got on a plane to Madrid, then to Chigaco, Then Springfield.
